Quartier Putain is a coffee shop in the heart of the Red Light district, it is quite an old area of the redlight district and Quartier Putain is located in a beautiful old building divided into two floors, the upstairs is an area for music heads to hangout because theres a record label called ‘Top Notch’ based on the top floor. In keeping with its musical atmosphere each customer receives a coin for the jukebox after they’ve ordered a coffee. This is a cafe project by Erik De Kock whom FNND had the pleasure of meeting. He made us a lovely kenyan coffee in a chemex and a sweet espresso from a La Marzocco Strada espresso machine. Erik is clearly passionate about coffee and his dad is also very well known in the coffee world. just one more thing to note about Quartier Putain, is the name – If you speak French, then you’d already be giggling but if not, then we suggest you put Quartier Putain into google translate HERE
Quartier Putain is open 8am – 6pm monday to wednesday and 8am – 8pm thursday to sunday.
